The Musketeers first visit to Lannemezan for a while saw 12 players battle for the prestigious Autumn Cup — our last major of the year which is traditionally played for away from Pallanne. We were lucky to have a great sunny day with calm conditions and the first thing most of us noticed was how many of the lower branches of the trees had been removed making it easier to return wayward shots to the fairway. Nevertheless it proved to be a tough course once again with only three players playing close to their handicaps.
