A good crowd of Musketeers turned up for a pairs Texas Scramble competition on the last Friday of May. Partners were drawn and a local rule for the day was that players could place anywhere except in hazards. The course was in absolutely superb condition with neatly close-mown fairways and pristine greens under clear blue skies. Scoring was excellent with all teams equalling par or better. Prizes of wine were awarded to the top three teams. Excellent camaraderie over post-match beers followed and a good number stayed for lunch at Pallanne's super new restaurant. All agreed the format was great fun and should be repeated soon.
